He had throat cancer. Docs said it was real aggressive. He lasted two years after diagnosis. Tons of chemo and radiation. ACA kept us from going bankrupt.

medication that had risen from almost free to over 200,000 dollars, this was a response to that post.

"In election year campaigning to be President, Sanders helped an individual person, after 30 yrs in. Good for Sanders. Sincerely."

Previous to the ACA, insurance companies could and would deny coverage to people with preexisting conditions. I remember that happening to a friend of mine. That might be why it saved him. That OR his state expanded Medicaid and he was able to get treatment.

She's much more like a sister to me, and starts chemo next week. Fingers crossed.

I'm an Iowan who's benefited immensely from the ACA. I love President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and the Democratic congress for passing it for all of us.
