continuing problem for Warren. She should be pulling plenty of locals of all colors at a Brooklyn rally. Frankly, I'm a bit surprised.

Warren and Sanders' numbers in VT and NH polls are only as misleadingly close to Biden as they are because those states are extremely white, IA 4%, LatinX 6.2% and NH AA 1.7% LatinX 3.9%.

Biden's big LatinX and AA support (and all other minorities) in other states doesn't show in IA and NH, and neither does Warren's and Sanders' lack of similarly broad appeal.

LatinX of any race 19.8%.

Understanding that most Brooklyn LatinX also identify white, not indigenous American, which pushes the white percentage up to 49.5%.

Hispanics are included in the white count instead of with other Hispanics, otherwise a bit over 1/3.
But in this case we should go with half white for obvious reasons. But we'll see what analysts report. Some engaged nonwhites undoubtedly turned out.

In NYC there is this thing called mass transit

Subways, buses, even trains.

And there are taxis, Uber. and Lyft.

What a surprise that a rally might represent a broader demographic than just the neighborhood it's held in.

Also, that neighbor hood is predominantly minority, but the next neighborhood over is predominantly white. And that's not just my opinion, the census maps clearly show that.

So, was the crowd the usual makeup we would suspect from Warrens polling statistics? About 10% black and 10% latino?
I would not expect her to out perform that at any rally.

Hey, let us know when Joe has a rally in NYC so we can compare crowd makeup. I am serious. It would be interesting to see what his crowd would be in a racially diverse metropolis. So please, no rally pics from small towns or black churches.

Minority voters are a significant chunk of the Democratic base.

While their turnout was certainly better in 2018, young voters generally have yet to prove the same.

It's indicative of the problem that Warren, Buttigieg, and Sanders are going to face when we start to get to more diverse states and it's a bigger problem for Warren now that Buttigieg and Sanders are overtaking her.

She needs AA voter support if she's going to edge out Biden, Buttigieg, and Sanders in many places, and right now she's a distant third.

For reference, Bernie has a lot of large white crowds in 2016 and he consistently lost AA voters 25% to 75%. That killed him in the delegate rich south, most swing states, and many blue states.

All we have is a single report from A DU supporter of Mayor Pete eyeballing the crowd.

Perhaps that person has a knack for distinguishing ethnic groups. Who knows...

Maybe he can tell us how many were latinos, or people from the middle east, both huge demographics in Brooklyn.
