Sigh. More good news for Biden.

Yes, that is the Morning Consult poll that is always strong for Joe, but, as I always say...

The polls are what the polls are.

Well, at least I can console myself that my preferred candidate, Elizabeth Warren, is starting to have an upswing according to 538.

It's a start, but at least her mid-4th quarter decline is over, just in time for the first real voting in Iowa and New Hampshire!

I have a definite rooting interest, but my head is not in the sand.

Anyways, I find that G. Elliot Morris, data journalist for The Economist, often posts interesting insights into the state of the polling, so I like to share those.

and unscrutinized Sanders instead of the one the Republican and Russian character assassins would make of him. They don't just assassinate the real person, they're identity thieves who create a whole new identity and embed it in the brains of millions.

One of Biden's huge advantages is that those millions already know him and have known him for years, a long-familiar picture. That's why trying to depict him as a "creepy" molester failed so badly and quickly. People already knew it wasn't true, and the identity attack couldn't overcome that.

Sanders, though, is an almost empty white board for the swiftboaters to draw any picture they want on. And he's given them an appalling amount of material to work with.

Bernie rising but Biden rising as well.

The big question now is: who has the ground operation to make a story about doing well in Iowa.
