This particular issue is not going to be a big winner. Not like if they wanted to raise the retirement age or stop the COLA or something. Trump's base, and a whole lot of others, see anyone on disability as a "taker," a "slacker," living off the government (our) teat. They believe it's a lot of people committing fraud. Who are just lazy.

This is WHY the GOP can get away with this change. It, like voter ID, can be sold to them as just, and as stopping people stealing.

that a large part of Drumpf's base is on this particular type of SS, especially those white opioid addicts and long out of work coal miners waiting for him to bring their jobs back.

I have no doubt you are correct. The issue is, they all think they're the only people who DESERVE it. Everyone else - those non-WASPs - are all fraudsters.
