I'm over the moon with how many exceptional choices we have in this race!

So far, Mayor Pete has been very impressive and he has a solid record as mayor of a once downtrodden city when he took over leading it.

12. He has done well on every key metric except crime, where the results were middling.

Violent crime is a tough statistic because unlike job creation and developing affordable housing options, violent crime can linger at a high rate through an entire generation and only start to decrease when the next generation comes to age. Last year the rate under Mayor Pete decreased for the first time in his administration, that could reflect programs which he championed finally catching root with younger people.
