Shaun King: Warren 'embellished' Sanders's words from 2018 meeting.

?s=20

Shaun King
@shaunking
Wow.

Just spoke to a source who told me that Elizabeth Warren admittedly "embellished" the words of
@BernieSanders
to her friends after her meeting with him in 2018, saying that Bernie said a woman couldn't win, but that he never actually said those words.

Disgusting.

what is it with some of these political figures/pundits/activists that they seek to do Trump's work for him? Nina Turner, Sirota, Shaun King and even some of our tv pundits...

And it doesn't really matter if he said those exact words or not. If he made the assertion in any form, it's unacceptable.

"The description of that meeting is based on the accounts of four people: two people Warren spoke with directly soon after the encounter, and two people familiar with the meeting."

5. So what was really said? If you know it was embellished, you should know exactly what was exchanged.

This tweet suggests that there was at least something said in that direction. What could have been embellished in that context? That it would be very hard or too hard for a woman to win? That wouldn't make the comment better.
If someone wanted to counter the claim, he could have at least offered more insight into what was actually said. Just saying it was embellished is not enough. This kind of non-denial makes me believe the original claim more.

6. The alleged comment attributed to Bernie
Mon Jan 13, 2020, 08:25 PM

is in direct contravention to all his public statements and actions ...My God, he urged Elizabeth to run for President in 2015 ……..Bernie is a Mysoginist ? ….He urged a woman to run for the Highest Office in the Land … Only when she refused to take the cudgel, did he decide to run himself ...What a strange course of action for a male supremacist to take ..
