We need people who aren't already involved in politics - a lot of those people aren't hardcore partisans, and Chappelle reaches a lot of people in that audience.

3. I'm not for Dave Chappelle at this point...

There was the interview right before the 2012 election where he complained that Hillary Clinton had clearly been personally responsible for the leak of the "Pussy grabbing interview" and he was offended by what he perceived as her action in that. Just lately he had a comedy special where he lauded Louis CK suggesting his private masturbation antics weren't a big deal and he exalted Kevin Hart for his homophobia. How is he not just a jackass?
Here is the required disclaimer I will vote for whoever is the Democratic nominee in November even if that candidate has been endorsed by Dave Chappelle. That said this pretty well seals the deal for me not voting Yang in the primary.
