I think it may have been a misinterpretation or mistaken memory of exact words type of thing. I doubt it is malicious lying.

That said I don't like the idea that Bernie may have been negative about Warren running just because she is a woman. But THAT said, Elizabeth is an adult and doesn't need Bernie's encouragement to convince her what to do. I personally think the bar is much higher for a woman (and probably an impossibly high bar for a gay person). So maybe Bernie just gave an honest assessment that agrees with my own. But, that doesn't mean someone shouldn't try. The glass ceiling needs to be broken sometime. But it should have been broken in 2016 and a little more leadership from Bernie might have made that happen.

He worked on the Iran nuclear deal that Trump gleefully threw overboard. He worked to assemble the coalition of nations to defeat ISIS. He would not work with North Korea without preconditions after Trump has given Kim Jong-Un everything he wanted receiving nothing in return beyond a emboldened dictator and . . . the beat goes on beyond theory, beyond a single vote to hands-on experience in negotiating and getting things actually done.

This is Biden's advantage in questions regarding foreign policy. He's done the work, knows the people involved. Bernie might like to change the subject but the Iran brouhaha has put these questions on the front burner.
