Related: About this forumChris Matthews: Right now, bet on Bernie Sanders in Iowa
Chris thinks Bernie Sanders is the candidate to beat in Iowa: Two-thirds of the Democratic Iowa Caucus voters in 2016 call themselves liberal or very liberal. Bernie swept these very liberal caucus goers in 2016 and should do it again in 2020 Biden, who is contending for one third of the caucus goers who call themselves moderate or conservative cant match Bernies potential.

My husband and I still laugh about it.

(2,921 posts)For that part. No interest in hearing what he has to say about Sanders. Caucuses favor the healthier and wealthier and those with free time and lots of energy. Like Washington state, the vigor of Sanderssupportersand their physical presence may win sometimes, but when people are allowed to vote irregardless of their mobility status, age and the need to work three jobs or care for kids or the elderly, Sanders often loses, as he did when Washington State had an actual primary. Nit to relive 2016, but if Sanders pulls out the nomination I believe we are assured of four more years of Trump.
