President Bernie Sanders It really could happen.

President Bernie Sanders
It really could happen.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/16/opinion/bernie-sanders-2020.html

There have been two polls of Iowa Democrats released in the past week. Bernie Sanders led one of them. Joe Biden led the other — but that poll’s sample appeared to be light on several groups of voters (like millennials) who often support Sanders, as Nate Cohn of The Times pointed out.

All of which points to the same conclusion: Sanders has a real shot of winning the Democratic nomination. Only a couple of months after he suffered a mild heart attack, that counts as a surprise. On the new episode of “The Argument,” Ross Douthat, Michelle Goldberg and I talk about the reasons for Sanders’s strong position, as well as about his strengths and weaknesses.

It’ll make Biden’s IWR vote look attractive in comparison.

In a general election, the attack ads would write themselves:

He can't attack Sanders on War and Iraq
He cant attack Sanders on Wall Street

Trump can't even really attack Sanders on the Socialism thing because Sanders would just go "Damn right. What are you going to do about it"

sanders, however, can attack trump on all the false progressive promises he made and never kept.

Karl Rove: Sanders could win presidency in 2020

His dark money Superpac took credit for Bernie's performance in Nevada in 2016 - not refighting anything, just reporting historical statements:

“American Crossroads and Bernie Sanders helped Nevada caucus-goers see right through Hillary Clinton’s manufactured zeal on immigration reform after spewing virulent Trump-like rhetoric—and that one-two punch shaved Clinton’s 50-point lead a year ago to a slim, single digit win,” Steven Law, Crossroads CEO and president, said in a statement.

Rovian would be something very, very different than what you are saying, at least where Sanders is concerned.
