Sanders holds 4-point lead on Biden in new California poll

BY JULIA MANCHESTER - 01/22/20 05:00 AM EST

Excerpt:

Sen. Bernie Sanders is leading the crowded Democratic primary field in California, according to a new poll from the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education/PACE.

The survey showed Sanders with a 28 percent lead among California voters who said they planned to vote in the Democratic primary. Former Vice President Joe Biden follows in second place at 24 percent support.

California is one of several states to hold their nominating contest on Super Tuesday, which takes place on March 3. The delegate-rich state is set to allocate 495 delegates based on the primary's outcome, making the state a must-win state for presidential hopefuls.

California polls from now are worth much.

A lot is going to happen to change the dynamics of that race before we get there.

Trump isn't running and there really aren't any primary battles. A lot of gop voters may just jump over and cause mischief.

The only reference I can find for this poll is on the hills website. I checked rossier, and they have nothing.

538 only points back to the thehill article.

It doesn't seem to exist outside of that one web story (which is not a poll, just an article).

Anyone have a link?

Now, all at once he seems to have broken out of that tranche nationally and across several key states. Big development.

By the time we get to Cali, the Dem field will be much narrower than it is now. After Iowa, a bunch will drop out. The question is who?

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
