Sen. Kamala Harris is weighing an endorsement of Joe Biden, the New York Times reports.
Such a move could lift Mr. Bidens campaign and perhaps do even more to enhance Ms. Harriss chances of becoming vice president, but it could also anger her liberal base in California.
An endorsement by Ms. Harris, if she wades into the primary race at all, would be unlikely to happen until after the Senate impeachment trial.

It should be Amy or Abrams.
Her endorsement will certainly help Biden though.

You need to put a far younger justice on the court.

(673 posts)Same with Klobuchar. I'd have guessed she was in her early 50s instead of almost 60.
But year, if you were going to put her on the Court, you'd want to do it next year.

(673 posts)She's his AG pick, at least, that would be a lock as the minimum she would get for it.
She'd also become the odds on favorite to be his running mate.
Take that out a step further if they won and she left the Senate......
I that that would end with her being replaced as the Jr. Senator from California by Adam Schiff.

Many of us are a little disappointed in the tactics of our junior Senator in the race and an endorsement would help her a great deal to recover.
Harris' base of support has always come from the CA's huge liberal base, and not from populist socialists.

(1,086 posts)First because it would have little or no effect on Iowa. Part of her appeal was the idea she could bridge the progressive divide. Doing it to soon after the trial when so many were off the trail will really hurt that.
If Biden loses Iowa it will be totally meaningless and she has spent her capital. If he wins it will be because he always going to and will be discounted and just be one of many.
If however Nevada is close and she announces just before that and is on the trail with Joe then win or lose it will be seen as real support and help in SC.
If she really wants to be Biden's VP and wants to announce before Iowa then she should announce for Warren.
