Sanders' Popularity With Oldest Primary Voters on the Decline (Morning Consult, 1/28)

https://morningconsult.com/2020/01/28/sanders-popularity-with-oldest-primary-voters-on-the-decline/

Within the past month, Sen. Bernie Sanders has grown less popular among Democratic primary voters ages 65 or older. Three weeks ago, his net favorability (the share with favorable views minus those with unfavorable views) stood at +51 among this group, but the latest poll finds him at +35. By comparison, the Vermont independent’s net favorability among those ages 18-29 is unchanged over that period.

See the graph at that link.

By the way, that's not the past month.

That's the decline THE LAST TWO WEEKS.

51% January 12th. 35% January 26th.

Sanders' net favorability has declined 2% during those two weeks even among 18-29 year olds.

7% decline during the same two weeks among Democratic primary voters overall.

I guess voters are taking a closer look at Sanders, and the older, more experienced voters don't like what they see.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Being older gives us wisdom. We've lived thru many scenarios and came out the better for it. In other wards we've made our mistakes and learned from them.

which I'd overlooked at first as I rushed to post the numbers from their three polls.

There is always a price to pay and invariably it comes back to the average taxpayer one way or another. Also, cost estimates for government programs are never less than projected but always more and sometimes much much more. When you are talking about programs in terms of trillions of dollars it does and should be a cause for concern for everyone.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
