Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumSo I have changed from Undecided.
After paying attention to lots of things, I have decided that in the primary I will vote for Elizabeth Warren.
This does not mean that I will not vote the Democratic candidate in the general. It also means that I will not share criticism of any of the candidates even if I share that opinion.
THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO FIGHT AMONG OURSELVES OR GIVE NEGATIVE INFO TO OUR COMPETITORS.

(761 posts)Your last line is also the key to victory in the Presidential Election. I dont think there are very many people in the country that dont know that Trump is a lying narcissistic self serving thug. Attacking Trump did not work for anybody in 2016. The Democratic candidate needs to stress good paying jobs and how Trumps low unemployment rate doesnt provide good paying jobs that are necessary to build prosperity. The Democratic candidate needs to stress healthcare and show that the Republican Party not only didnt go forward they cut back on healthcare. Our candidate needs to stress that all his promises are what the Democratic Party has worked for while the Republican Party has always tried to destroy them. Bottom line is the Democratic Party always worked to build the country while the Republican Party has only worked to defund the government.
Remember what Michelle Obama said: Los Angeles Times: Michelle Obama's stunning convention speech: '

(326 posts)While I have a preference but not full support for any candidate at this time I thank those who say they will support whoever is Democratic nominee! Sour grapes not voting or voting for someone third party etc. only helps MF45 and cannot be allowed to happen IMO. This is a year where we have to keep an eye on the greater good. I don't think we have the luxury of saying "well the other guy is okay" because we KNOW that's not true. And if anyone is on here from KY - getting rid of the turtle is almost a bigger priority to me than the orange menace. Without him and the senate majority we wouldn't be in the fix we are in with judges, uncontrolled executive, etc.

(10,237 posts)However, I am absolutely voting for the Eventual Democratic nominee.
Against Dolt45 I would vote for a sack of dried up monkey turds, which would be both better and smarter than the racist/rapist in chief.

... that's exactly what Warren did when she had a go at Bernie. That is the way to lose elections.

(41,861 posts)I originally wanted Kamala Harris but she bailed. I feel bad that she did, I like her spirit and positive can-do attitude! I hope she finds a place in the next administration (If there is one).
