I heard this, about Iowa

During the coverage on cable news last night,
someone mentioned that Iowa is 90% white,
and that only 10% of the voters in Iowa participate in the caucuses.

Someone else suggested moving away from Iowa and New Hampshire
as being "the first in the nation to vote"
to regional primaries more representative of who we are as a nation.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

but I had a hard time picking out any person of color when the cable news people were breathlessly dashing between one group of white people to the next group of white people.

Pete pulled a Trumpism in that during his victory speech, some clever campaign worker found 3 black women and put them right behind him on the stage... in fact it looked like everyone on the stage behind him was female. Purely random I'm sure.

The article I read mentioned Michigan and Florida. More big cities, more diverse.

AND GET RID OF THOSE DAMN CAUCUSES. It's so 19th century. Just make everything
primaries. Honestly.

Not so much in cities and populated areas. Too many in the room people enhances the cat herding fustercluck effect.
