I think a good number of folks hear a certain number thrown out, and just repeat it, without knowing if that is correct or not.

knowing.

The only times I am aware that he ran for President were 1988 and 2008.

In 1988 he lost because of a plagiarism accusation. In 2008, he dropped out because he didn't do well in the early primaries

For those who say more than two, I would like to know when they were, and I guess I should have just asked that, but was curious what answers I would get.

Thanks

Oh well, I stand to learn something every day, even at age 70. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Blessings.

...so, technically, he's only run in one Presidential primary, 2008.

1988 and 2008. The fact that Biden withdrew in 1987 before voting started doesn't mean he didn't run.

He's had a long career in the spotlight. I'm not faulting people for making the mistake. If anything I've wondered if the distance between the first and the last time wasn't what confused people.

I will say neither primary cycle he ran in was similar and neither previous one was like this current one.. He's in a somewhat unique position of running three very different races for the nomination.
