Republicans Launch Operation To Help Bernie Sanders Win The South Carolina Primary
Link to tweet
In an indication that Republicans would most like to run against Bernie Sanders in the November general election, Trump-supporting leaders in South Carolina are urging GOP voters to support the Vermont senator in the states primary on Feb. 29.
Its a clear effort to damage Joe Bidens candidacy further as the former VP will be relying even more on South Carolina following his lackluster performance in the chaotic Iowa caucus.
According to The Hill, The plan orchestrated by Greenville GOP chairman Nate Leupp and several other prominent Republican Party leaders revolves around GOP leaderships belief that Sanders poses the least amount of challenge to President Trump in Novembers general election and its goal of getting the Palmetto States Democratic lawmakers to agree to close the states primaries.

There's about as much evidence of mischievous crossover voting as there is of voter fraud.

Again, this sort of talk happens every cycle. Evidence of it having any impact? Zero.

There are no reports of mischievous crossover voting. There's talk that it might happen. As always.

I don't like using it.
But reading the above, hate of the GOP is what starts to boil in me.
If they keep this garbage up, this is not going to end well.

In other words, almost none--and certainly not enough to make a difference. Clinton did much better than Sanders in open primaries in 2016.
But every primary season, without fail, people talk as if it's a major concern. Like this year with regard to New Hampshire, even though the evidence contradicts the claims. Oh well, peeps gonna believe what peeps gonna believe.
