Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumHere's my idea about the relatively low turnout in Iowa. Do you agree?
I think it's because we have so many good candidates. People are waiting for someone to be picked and then the beat Trump passion will show. But, until then, if you would be happy with any one of 4 or 5 candidates, you might just stay home and wait for others to show who will rise to the top.
What do you think?

He got a lot of responses that "I don't know who I want and I don't want an "undecided" group, so I'm staying home".
Anecdotal yes, but it was the case in our smallish town.

(16,685 posts)I don't necessarily agree that all of the candidates are great but I think the majority of Democrats and left-leaners recognize the existential crisis we are in and are ready to support whoever makes it through the primary process.

(649 posts)My views have changed since last week and I could change my mind again. A lot of my female democratic friends who meet bi-monthly for lunch feel the same way. I have gone from Biden to Pete to Bloomberg. I think most people want Trump out of office so badly they are afraid to waste their votes.

I sort of thought that was obvious honestly.
