Sat Feb 8, 2020, 11:50 PM

Hillary Clinton was inspired to go to the South as a law student to work on school desegregation and inspired many an unhinged rant about feminists when she was First Lady. But she and Joe Biden are part of the imaginary Democratic Party establishment that hasn't done anything and isn't progressive or inspiring? Whoopi used the correct two word response to this stupidity.

Older minorities are on the Biden train. Younger minorities like the 2 socialists and are willing to take more risks. There was a time when Obama was considered too risky.

This video is great, but older black voters are not supporting Biden for his civil rights work. It's because he was Obama's VP, has experience, and is considered a safe choice.

26. That and trust he has built with AA communities and leaders throughout the nation over decades. And
Sun Feb 9, 2020, 01:20 AM
Feb 2020

not that he was any old VP—how he gave intense loyalty to our first AA and most wonderful young
president, how he was able to stay enough in the wings, supporting, yet carry some of the workload himself, and for a great friendship between generations and across the racial divide, reminding us
of a time of better intent, a fervent desire to fulfill ideals and promises we have yet to live up to.

Yes, Biden has made mistakes. Ironically, it is those who were around when he made them who are the most able to balance his mistakes with his commitment, finding still that his heart has been in the right place and his friendships made out of love, not political expedience, and that he sincerely listens and learns.

You would like to dismiss Biden’s AA support as though anyone who had happened to get the VP nod would gain it. In doing so, you underestimate Obama’s excellent judgement and also AA supporters’ discernment, wisdom, and respect for their own voices. They are not so easily swayed. Trust is not a commodity these supporters trade in nonchalantly.

Yes, we will all vote blue. But yes, it does matter who.
