Two reasons not to watch Hardball tonight: Chris Matthews (obviously) and...

guest Kirsten Gillibrand, who will undoubtedly tell us all what to think about the Biden situation...

Heads up for those who wish to watch... I think I will go outside to brush out my doggy girl.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

9. Meh... I've heard three of her recent interviews, so point NOT taken.

I'm NOT going to listen to her laud her supposed superiority (and total lack of remorse over her horrific treatment of Franken) as she not so subtly works to diminish Biden as well.

She says the right things on other issues, granted and if (heaven forbid) she gets the nod, I'll back her. Until then, NO.

...but I assume you'll also no longer be listening to interviews with Sanders, Warren, Delaney, Klobuchar, Hickenlooper and Castro, who've all said that they believe Flores' accusation?

15. They didn't lead the charge on Franken and their comments re: Biden have been nuanced.

I will listen to each of them, just as I did Flores (on CNN and on MSNBC) The latter, I gave initial benefit-of-the-doubt, but I find her opportunistic and lacking in credibility.

"I believe Lucy Flores": Elizabeth Warren

"I have no reason not to believe Lucy": Bernie Sanders

"no reason not to believe her": Amy Klobuchar

"We need to live in a nation where people can hear her truth,": John Delaney

18. As we've seen among DUers, some are using "believe" as synonymous with "taking seriously"

and willing to "listen". Just as I did with Flores. But, having done so, after watching her repeatedly tell her story, seeing the photos of her putting her own hands on Biden and her attempts to conflate non-sexual contact with something far worse, I find her to be beyond the pale and self-serving for whatever motivation.

So, yeah, I initially listened and took her claims seriously or "believed her" if you want to conflate those terms, but now, umm, no. Hopefully, the other candidates have now had the chance to watch and listen to her claims and have evolved as well, whether they address it again or not.

I do t like what she did to Franken but closing my eyes and saying “LALALALA” isn’t going to change anything but my ability to think cogently about what’s going on.
