people with careers that require them to execute

will have a million more things which can be criticized versus people who sit back do nothing other than philosophizing.

A prosecutor must prosecute.
An attorney general must oversee many other attorneys.
An attorney must be involved in legal cases
A mayor must lead the city with hundreds/thousands of people involved in the city government.

Over a course of a single year, they will have executed/overseen/administered more decisions than a politician with a total of 7 bills enacted has executed in his entire lifetime.

I don't want to encourage lifetime politicians...that incumbant advantage is one of the reasons we are in this mess.

Based on your avatar, I assume this is in reference, at least in part, to the articles about Klobuchar potentially putting an innocent man in jail for the killing of Tynesha (sp?) Edwards. If so, as an attorney, I agree that with so many cases, there will inevitably be mistakes. So if she ended up being wrong on that case, as unfortunate as that would be it wouldn't be disqualifying, IMO. What would make me very hesitant to support her is if it came out that she withheld exculpatory evidence from the defense (or committed similar prosecutorial misconduct) or did anything untoward to prevent the case from being reviewed after new evidence came out. So far there is no indication of that, and in fact it seems the alleged perpetrator was tried twice, and as far as I know she did not oppose the retrial or do anything to keep it buried. And I know that she has now said the evidence should be reviewed, which I commend her for.

or any indication that she tried to coverup any bad act ever.

There is no excuse for malfeasance, there does have to be a recognition that we live in a world where mistakes happen. The question is how does someone respond when a mistake is discovered.

Unfortunately, many prosecutors try to stop or bury post-conviction evidence that could exonerate someone they convicted because they (understandably) don't want to be embarrassed or give people reason to doubt the fairness of the system. Like you said, there's no evidence that happened here.

If anything, I'd be more inclined to trust a prosecutor who had some convictions reviewed and maybe a couple overturned than one who never had any convictions reevaluated, because the latter would make me wonder if they were taking inappropriate measures to prevent post-conviction review.

Asked for comment on the case, a Klobuchar campaign spokesperson said Burrell was tried and convicted of Tyesha's murder twice, and the second trial occurred when Klobuchar was no longer the Hennepin County Attorney. If there was new evidence, she said, it should be immediately reviewed by the court.

And yesterday on The View

After the AP's story, Klobuchar said evidence in the case should be reviewed. But her exchange with Hostin was especially heated and took place at a pivotal moment in her candidacy.

"You're a U.S. senator now," Hostin said. "You're a powerful woman. What do you intend to do to right this wrong?"

Klobuchar replied: "It must be reviewed. Sunny, I think you know that I care so much about justice, and this case must be reviewed."

I hope that letting the DNC set the guidelines for the debates that eliminated three governors will not end costing us in November.

Bullock was my second choice.
