In 2004 we could see the Swift Boats coming. When Dean was going down, we took comfort from Wes Clark and others saying that the Dems were ready. They were not. While Kerry was sail-sailing, Edwards sat on his hands for 3 weeks. The damage was done.
There is an assumption that those against a Sanders nomination hate / have contempt for the kids.Not me. No way. If Bernie snatches the nomination but loses the GE, I do want him to bequeath a name ‘that lives in infamy’
I don’t want to see any Dem, even a part time Dem, humiliated, let alone reviled. Here is my bottom line : the Republic is on the edge of failure. The world has been rooting against us since 1775. Bernie like Biden should never have run. I wish them out of the contest.
