Sanders did not do well at the town hall...

Feb 2020

From a 2008 Presidential Primary debate:

Best Labor Record?

Sen. Biden claimed to have the best labor record of all the candidates present that evening:
Biden: Look at our records. There’s no one on this stage, mainly because of my longevity, that has a better labor record than me.
Actually, the opposite is true. All the candidates on the stage had a better "lifetime" labor record than Biden, as measured by the AFL-CIO’s ratings of Senate and House votes. The AFL-CIO’s latest listings show Biden voting its way 85 percent of the time over his entire Senate career – the lowest lifetime rating of all the candidates on the stage that night.

https://www.factcheck.org/2007/08/afl-cio-democratic-forum/

OMG, Warren and Sanders are BOTH much more pro-labor than Biden was!

Both Warren and Sanders are 13% higher than Biden was over his entire Senate Career!!!

U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar returned to Las Vegas Saturday for the latest round of Culinary Union Local 226 presidential candidate forums, where she mixed moderate proposals and attacks on President Donald Trump with jokes and personal stories during her 40-minute question-and-answer session. The Minnesota senator was well-received by a crowded union hall assembled on a Saturday morning.

The town hall was part of a series hosted by the powerful union and its parent organization, UNITE HERE. Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg hit the stage after Klobuchar.

— Health care the top issue As with previous town halls, the culinary union laid down a marker on health care: Its members fought to get the best benefits in the state, and they want to keep them.

Klobuchar, who has opposed Medicare for All in the Senate and on the campaign trail, breezed through the question by promising exactly that. She shared an anecdote about needing to build bridges, not blow them up, to get across Minnesota’s many lakes.

“We do not want to take those benefits away,” she said. “We do not want to blow those up. And that’s why I believe in a public option and expanding on the Affordable Care Act.”

Yes, they had a townhall.

Does the Leadership make the final decision who to endorse?

Or was a survey sent out to all 60,000 members of the union?

OBVIOUSLY 60,000 union members were not at that townhall you mentioned.
