Is that some new "neural-marketing" trick?
A DU push poll, of sorts?
You had better hope that one of those THREE you chose actually gets the endorsement...
Or I will be disappointed in you.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
I hope its Amy....But Im scared it may be Biden.
If its Amy, it will be seen as a bet on a campaign hopeful and trending upwards.
If its Biden, many will see it as a Hail Mary to save Biden.

(5,376 posts)The union endorsement is for more than just the Nevada Caucus.
It's who they want to win the nomination.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
Its not him.
Ill bet their members were concerned about splitting the vote, and Sanders winning. So they had both inside and outside pressure to pick one.
Sanders did not do well at the town hall...

You just hit return first.
And the damn thing is you STLL think it's alright to start hurling insults in the middle of a polite discussion.
Just stop with that bullshit.
That's no excuse for crap like that. But if that's all you can bring to the discussion, I guess that's all you can bring.

(5,376 posts)From a 2008 Presidential Primary debate:
Sen. Biden claimed to have the best labor record of all the candidates present that evening:
Biden: Look at our records. Theres no one on this stage, mainly because of my longevity, that has a better labor record than me.
Actually, the opposite is true. All the candidates on the stage had a better "lifetime" labor record than Biden, as measured by the AFL-CIOs ratings of Senate and House votes. The AFL-CIOs latest listings show Biden voting its way 85 percent of the time over his entire Senate career the lowest lifetime rating of all the candidates on the stage that night.
https://www.factcheck.org/2007/08/afl-cio-democratic-forum/
OMG, Warren and Sanders are BOTH much more pro-labor than Biden was!
Both Warren and Sanders are 13% higher than Biden was over his entire Senate Career!!!

https://www.reviewjournal.com/news/politics-and-government/amy-klobuchar-well-received-at-culinary-union-forum-1933508/
U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar returned to Las Vegas Saturday for the latest round of Culinary Union Local 226 presidential candidate forums, where she mixed moderate proposals and attacks on President Donald Trump with jokes and personal stories during her 40-minute question-and-answer session. The Minnesota senator was well-received by a crowded union hall assembled on a Saturday morning.
The town hall was part of a series hosted by the powerful union and its parent organization, UNITE HERE. Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg hit the stage after Klobuchar.
Health care the top issue As with previous town halls, the culinary union laid down a marker on health care: Its members fought to get the best benefits in the state, and they want to keep them.
Klobuchar, who has opposed Medicare for All in the Senate and on the campaign trail, breezed through the question by promising exactly that. She shared an anecdote about needing to build bridges, not blow them up, to get across Minnesotas many lakes.
We do not want to take those benefits away, she said. We do not want to blow those up. And thats why I believe in a public option and expanding on the Affordable Care Act.

(5,376 posts)Yes, they had a townhall.
Does the Leadership make the final decision who to endorse?
Or was a survey sent out to all 60,000 members of the union?
OBVIOUSLY 60,000 union members were not at that townhall you mentioned.
If you don't know the answer, that's OK, just say so. Neither do I at the moment.

(2,706 posts)On a public option.
Id say that was clear evidence of the membership being involved.

(5,376 posts)So, do you do know if the Leadership makes the decision or if a binding survey of the 60,000 union members does?
I don't want to be presumptuous and guess at your knowledge about this specific question.
That would not be polite.
But based on your last reply, it SEEMS you do not.
That's fine.
I will see if I can get that information someplace else and will post it if I can.

(5,376 posts)The 60,000 strong union said it LOVES all our candidates.
And that their goal is to defeat Trump!!!
Why didn't this poll have THAT as a choice?
So much for leaving Sanders and Warren off this poll.
Sorry, I just find this amusing as hell.
Not including ALL the candidates in this poll was a mistake and bordered on push-polling.
