Michael Bloomberg Quietly Rejoined Clubs That Largely Exclude Women, Minorities

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/michael-bloomberg-elite-social-clubs-accept-white-men-the-brook_n_5e458365c5b6e095c6bc44f5

When no one was watching, the presidential candidate re-upped his membership at two of these clubs after resigning from them in 2001.

Bloomberg has not represented our values and he should not be our nominee. We can do better.

All racists aren't white supremacists, but all white supremacists are racist.

Steve King is clearly a white supremacist, a charge he barely challenges. I'm not sure that the stances you provided prove that Peter King is one, though. He's clearly an overt bigot and a racist, but so are a lot of other people who don't fit the description.

For example, from your post:

"He was for Bloomberg’s Muslim profiling program. "

If that's proof of King's white supremacy, does that make Mike Bloomberg a white supremacist, as well?

Not a fan of Bloomberg, but I'm pretty sure he's not a white supremacist.

But why strive for the lowest common denominator when we can do better? I think that we are on the same page actually. I prefer Bernie and you prefer Joe but we will vote for whomever our nominee is. But in the mean time lets vet all of our candidates. Joe and Bernie have been in this for a long time and they have campaigned in states that Bloomberg hasn't touched so they have both already been vetted a lot. But since Bloomberg is now in the picture lets vet him as well. I want the best candidate possible to take on Trump but I'm not sure if Bloomberg is that person.

See posts 5, 7, and 9. Sometimes headlines don't reflect content and btw, I too have heard of Huffpo before.

Yes, he is wealthy, he belongs to private clubs, many private clubs either do or used to be quite restrictive, and no, he's not really my guy, either. He probably didn't imagine himself ever running for president, and I never imagined defending him.

My point is that no one is striving to elect their own less-than-favorite candidate. With our country in serious trouble, it's kind of amazing the options that we are weighing.
