the donations made outside of DU. What I'm trying to say, if we added up the donations made to Congressional candidates, Senatorial candidates, and Presidential candidates by DU members outside of DU (not using the DU links), the amount would make your knees buckle. I'd venture a guess of well over $1 million. I haven't donated to any presidential candidate through a DU link. I always donate directly or through ActBlue. I have nothing against donating through DU, but most of my donations are made as a result of direct contact by the political committees. If I told you how much I've donated to Democratic candidates in the past year most of you would plotz, and I'm positive I'm nowhere near the largest donor here on DU!

DU members are generous to a fault; Some with time and shoe leather, and some with money. We're the democratic junkies most candidates love, but we're some tough customers and demand much from our elected representatives.
