She knows every trick of the financial industry and its corruption. She pursues it relentlessly.

She is for working families.....relentlessly for us.

I'm a nearly 75 year old white lady who teaches older adults who have always loved learning and aren't about to go gently into chair exercises and bingo games. Two of my classes focus on the decades of the 1950s and 60s in terms of how people really lived and why the major cultural themes of the decades developed. In both classes I teach the government's history of redlining areas across the country to push African Americans into areas that they cut off from VA and FHA loans and disqualified those areas from bank loans. When the smart, highly educated and informed people in my classes near about what redlining really was and how it was used across the country -- North and South, East and West -- they are consistently shocked and infuriated. She's widen, jaws fall plan and white faces pale. Yes, 90% of my students are liberal, but even those who I'm pretty sure vote for Republicans are shocked to the core as the blinders fall away. I don't know how long the blinders stay off for some but they do see the light for awhile at least.

Redlining was presented as the determination of banks. Nobody revealed that it was government policy from the feds down to States and cities. I believe it was the only way FOR could get the GI Bill's mortgage loans past the Southern Dems. But the truth was kept secret .. A least from white people in the North.

And, naturally, Elizabeth Warren has a plan. I admire her, always, for fighting the good fight (even if this is actually a veiled attack on Bloomberg which, I think, it is). If the candidates are going to "distinguish" themselves from one another, this is the right way to do it--by offering a positive vision that seeks to correct an injustice that happens to be a blind-spot for a political opponent.
