The thing about Bloomberg is that Trump is giving him a great big stage.

Funtatlaguy got me thinking about the need for not-niceness.

And then I was reflecting on how satisfying the hit-back from the Bloomberg campaign was.

Bloomberg adviser's response to Trump goes viral on Twitter

Tim O'Brien

@TimOBrien
Translation: “I’m so obsessed with Mike Bloomberg because he stands on a stack of accomplishments that makes him ten feet taller than I am. Unlike me, he hasn’t looted his own charity, bankrupted six businesses, or torched the Constitution. Mike also can read and add.”

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
Mini Mike Bloomberg is a LOSER who has money but can’t debate and has zero presence, you will see. He reminds me of a tiny version of Jeb “Low Energy” Bush, but Jeb has more political skill and has treated the Black community much better than Mini!

Dan Scavino

Then I listened to Chris Matthews interview Thomas Friedman about Bloomberg.

Now it's hit me. The big attraction of Bloomberg is that Trump is shining a great big floodlight on him. Unfortunately, Warren and Klobuchar and Buttigieg don't attract that kind of attention. Biden does, but he just is too nice for the right kind of comeback. (See above). I think Trump is picking our candidate for us.

Someone told me they saw a clip where someone asked him about the election coming down to two billionaires and his response was something like: oh, who is the other one? I hope he keeps tweaking little Cheeto Donny whether or not he stays on the ballot. I think he’s said that’s his plan, wether he progresses as a candidate or not.

Does it convince that narrow slice of the undecided electorate in a few states to vote for the Democrat over drumpf. I guess it might fire up a few of those who might sit on the sidelines rather than vote for a Dem. I doubt, however, either of those things transpire because of Bloomberg answering nasty tweet for nasty tweet.
