WARREN U.S. Rep. Timothy J. Ryan is scheduled to appear on The View today, where he is expected to announce his presidential campaign, according to a BuzzFeed article.
BuzzFeed, Inc. is an American internet media, news and entertainment company with a focus on digital media based in New York City, according to its website.
Ryan, D-Howland, visited New Hampshire in February and was in Iowa this past weekend to test the water for a presidential run. In February, Ryan said he was strongly considering running for president in 2020.
The country is divided, as we all know, and there is no way for us to fix our economy and help workers and face all of the challenges we have when we are so divided, Ryan said in February.
Dan Polivka, chairman of the Trumbull County Democratic Party, confirmed Ryan will be making an announcement today.

(22,913 posts)When a member of Congress gets marginalized as much as Ryan was by the vast majority of his caucus and takes that as a message that maybe he should run for President instead, one begins to question whether he has the judgement to remain in Congress let alone run for President in the Democratic primaries.
