He said he agrees with Sanders on a number of policies but definitely not on gun ownership.
I think its really a sad thing at a Bernie rally, when someone has a difference of opinion, that someone would be treated like that. I thought it really would be a lot more inclusive than that. Its not a safe place to express differences. I would expect that sort of thing at a Trump rally.

(18,357 posts)Another video provided to CBS4 by an anonymous viewer shows the moments leading up to the brawl. It allegedly shows Tyler, in a jeans jackets, and another man arguing about the mans shirt. That man with the Black Guns Matter shirt also contacted CBS4, although anonymously. He called Tyler the aggressor and said he is African American.
He had a problem with the shirt I was wearing, this man said. I was recording the event, he walks up and calls me a racist. But I thought, Whats he know about black lives, about discrimination, or, for that matter, the representation of the shirt.'
Throughout American history, the man continued, Black people and their ability to own firearms has historically been very restricted. The shirt I got from a conceal-carry class.

(1,568 posts)in one of the videos. They claim to be Bernie supporters, but people generally don't boo people they support even if they hit a specific point they may disagree with. It's also not totally clear who got physical first. Both sides claim the other one did, I think. Whoever got physical first deserves most of the blame.
Either way, it's probably best to ignore hecklers, because an aggressive response may be what they are hoping for.

I cannot believe you are saying fist fights are ok?
I certainly hope you are not hoping for a 1968 Convention?
Those involved in violent encounters need to be thrown out. They are hurting it for the majority of the attendees

I do believe they may not be unavoidable - at least some shoving and shouting as in this case.
I'm a realist. I'm old. I've seen so many ways to solve disagreements.
are you saying disagreements should not exist? Like, when did you stop beating your wife? Same deal. Use logic.

(32,017 posts)A brokered convention seems likely at this point. Like it or not, 25% of Democrats are deep and strong Bernie supporters. There is a lot of pent-up liberal energy in the party right now, and most of that energy is concentrated in Bernies camp. These folks should not be either dissed or dismissed, and they will not be ignored.
You will see more of this behavior before its all over.
