A "First Gentleman" in the White House

It just hit me that if we Dems get a woman or an openly gay man in the White House we will have a First Gentleman doing the hosting and other duties during the President's tenure in the White House.

Wow. That makes me happy! (but it scares me to think of what awful shit that person would be put through in the 2020 election campaign).

But how wonderful for us to be able to show the world that we can do this. Our allies would celebrate us. Our enemies, not so much. But I don't care. It would be wonderful...

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

But wouldn't it be something more than ironic if we get a male first lady before we get a female president?

2. I think we'll notice how much the traditional first lady role embodies gendered stereotypes.

I think we're so used to it that it is almost invisible.

It would also be interesting to elect an unmarried president.
