Trump will be calling him "Bolshevik Bernie" by the 4th of July. The vitriol against Bernie will be severe.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

the enactment of some of his platform.

In fact, nothing would help us more than just the simple understanding that we should apply the concept of cui bono to pretty much anything we hear in the media, or from a think-tank, or on talk radio, or here.

See, I think that some here genuinely believe in centrist types of positions, and I don't fault them. Centrists are not evil, nor are progressives. Moving too much one way or the other can have evil consequences.

Problem is, we are in a little bubble here, surrounded by a massive, corporate owned media, about a third of which is militantly pro-trump, and especially designed to produce certain attitudes - toward minorities, immigrants, teachers, unions, government workers and so on.

Then you have the giant, well funded lobbies who are looking at the M4A proposal in horror because the for-profit healthcare firms and health insurance companies and drug companies they represent might lose a little profit if we decide to stop selling healthcare only to people who can afford it, and leaving the rest without. Their masterpiece this time around is, "Oh, if we have M4A, you'll LOSE LOSE LOSE LOSE your employer provided coverage!"

Oh oh.

And then you have smug people saying, "Well, these kids who signed on the dotted line for their student loans knew what they were doing. If you have any forgiveness, why, you'll be ignoring the element of PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY."

What no one really says, but I'm going to say is, "I pay a lot of income tax every year. If this is really a government of, by and for the people, then why are we not using these tax dollars that we pay in to the government for programs that materially benefit us?"

Seriously. How is a space force better for me and my family than health care?

How is the grossly bloated $730 billion 'defense' budget helping my family?

And when Congress takes money out of the Social Security Trust Fund to pay for other things, how does that help to create the financial stability I'll need after WORKING OVER 50 YEARS AND PAYING INTO THE SYSTEM PAYCHECK AFTER PAYCHECK?

How indeed?
