Beto on Buttigieg: 'I think he's terrific'

David Siders, Politico: Pete Buttigieg has had kind of a very meteoric, maybe quick rise, and speaks about a lot of the same issues you do, about going to rural areas in the Midwest. I wonder if you had any thoughts about his candidacy, maybe you might be pulling from the same pool of voters?

Beto: I’m just going to tell you I like him a lot, and I like the way he’s approaching voters, the seriousness with which he answers questions, the thought that he's put into it. I think he's terrific. I really like him.

Exactly the same as Elizabeth Warren said about Kamala Harris. Some Democrats put Party first

I wouldn't expect Beto to be negative, esp. now at the start of the primary season.

Plus, I expect he means what he's said about Mayor Pete.

I admire his ability to stay above the fray and his ability to work with others (including Republicans) to pass legislation. That's a sign of a good leader who knows when to compromise and when to hold firm for what is important.

I agree with Beto that Buttigieg is impressive and I would support him if he becomes the nominee. Either one of them will be a great asset on the ticket in 2020.

He's so genuine and sure does know how to tie in policies with real life examples the audience he's speaking to can actually relate to. He can unite this country again.
