Elizabeth Warren Gets Giant Lift From Persist PAC

New York Times

Senator Elizabeth Warren, who entered the presidential race loudly denouncing the influence of super PACs and big money in politics, will now be the beneficiary of what is believed to be the largest ad buy by a super PAC in the 2020 Democratic primary.

The super PAC, known as Persist PAC, announced late on Thursday night that it was buying $9 million in television and digital ads across nine expensive media markets in three Super Tuesday states: California, Texas and Massachusetts. The reservation is in addition to another $3.25 million previously announced that covers seven other states, plus California.

Because the super PAC was formed so late — it launched days before the Nevada caucuses — the group can keep its donors secret from the millions of Americans who will be voting in the coming weeks. A representative for the group said it would not disclose its donors until legally required, on March 20. At that point, about 60 percent of the delegates in the country would be allocated.

Ms. Warren’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment about whether the names of donors should be released sooner.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

The attack on Biden gave her a sugar high, not a sustained base of support, and she got some blowback from that

The far left relentlessly attacked her and the 'Kamala is a cop' framing stuck, she should have taken that charge and flipped it, made it a strength by pointing out that the only way to reform things is if you actually have the power

Gabbard (of all people ffs) attacking her twice in the debates was quite effective, more that I had thought it would be

all in all, a damn shame

I so so like and liked her

she would deffo be my number two atm, and I MIGHT have even voted for her over Pete (I voted weeks ago in the CA primary via overseas ballot) if she had stayed in and was polling above Pete

She, like many of our candidates (unfortunately) tried running by the rules that the Sanders crew set and then watched as he and his people were boosted by Super PACs and his own freaking dark money organization that he himself started. She should have never handicapped herself in a way that Sanders never did. I have no doubt that she is true in her principles and values and will not "sell out" for receiving this support as some Sanders supporters would have people believe.

It wouldn't surprise me, unless it's a violation of campaign finance laws (since he's running for POTUS). He loves to help out in situations like this.
