Donald Trump clearly never learned this lesson nor cared to. He was told about the coronavirus two months ago, but instead chose to bury his head in the sand. And his failure to acknowledge science as a source of truth has crippled our ability to respond.
We deserve a president who will listen to experts, make decisions based on facts, and prepare accordingly.

(12,597 posts)So far this year, the intelligence agency chiefs have not agreed to release a public worldwide threats assessment or testify in public, because, officials tell NBC News, they are reluctant to discuss intelligence that might displease President Donald Trump. This robs Congress of a chance to question intelligence officials publicly about the national security and economic implications of the coronavirus outbreak.

Trump truly is an ever present threat to that national security of the USA, unfortunately, he is also the president.
