Does anyone know why the DNC did not make it absolutely clear that in order to run

on the Democratic Primary Ticket, one must release 5,6,8,10 years of full tax returns?

We need this to be a rule. Otherwise, we don't look like we are upholding our own values.

If there is a legal reason why it was not done, please let me know. I am fairly certain it was brought up and was voted down. Am I wrong on that?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

By the followers of the Independent Senator from Vermont. It would have caused more chaos and Democrat bashing.

My plan, if you don't release your tax returns, you haven't earned my vote.
That's under rule number one, vote for Democrats registered as a Democrat.

Will release his I am sure. He's only been in the game a month or so. The Independent Senator from Vermont has been a switch Democrat longer than Democratic Beto has been a candidate, and the Independent Senator from Vermont didn't release them during his first attempt as the Independent Senator from Vermont for maybe democratic nomination. Why the Independent Senator from Vermont has been bad mouthing the Democratic party probably longer than the Democratic candidate Beto has been alive. Your Independent Senator from Vermont has had ample Years to make this right.

Putting the Independent Senator from Vermont was a big mistake. There are plenty of Democrats that are, well Democrats. But they most likely had a check box they needed to show diversity.
Independent check
Age diversity check.
So there it is, the big tent, including Independents.

Sanders isn't going anywhere this year. When and if he releases his tax returns, his mistakes will be clear and he will be laughed off in the polls. He isn't even a "real" Democrat and the African Americans don't remember seeing him during the 60's civil rights movement. He's grumpy, divisive, too old and out of date and has supporters who are jerks, Right wing misogynist white guys and over the top left wing crazies. He doesn't have Clinton as a foil and his staff is full of sexual harassers who might even be encouraged by Sanders himself.

Yet, everyday, again and again and again, here on the DU, we have people apparently worried that somehow he has a chance to overcome 20 or so more qualified and more friendly candidates.

All because he won't release his tax returns?

WTF?

if he doesn't he is toast, right?

So why no complaints about other candidates who haven't released their taxes? Why no complaints that some candidates are going to release less than 10 years? Why the discrepancy?

Thank god Bernie moved our party further left which is really the center, it's why we had a blue tsunami in 2018, Democrats ran as old fashioned FDR Democrats.

People are aware that the right wing Republican strategy is to get Democrats to fight among ourselves, people here know that, right?

I have a news flash for people who bash our candidates, none of our candidates are perfect, all are better than Trump.
