Arab Americans in Michigan Are All in for Bernie
Mar 8, 2020
Here is somebody that wants to enact an equitable platform across the board. Here's somebody that wants to correct the injustices and the systemic racism that had been built and baked into the system. He wants to shatter that system.

(67,782 posts)1. I don't think so. Biden will probably win that demographic, too. They're angry with Tlaib and....
....chances are she'll lose her primary in August. She only won in 2018 by 900 votes.

most Arab Americans are anti-semites. That said, I think Biden will probably get the majority of their vote, despite Tlaibs endorsement.

(19,493 posts)6. In the case of Michigan
Arab-Americans make up 1.5% of the population, while just under 14% is black. So I don't think this will affect the outcome there.
Nationwide, 1% of Americans are of Arab descent, while 12% are black. Again, while it's nice that anti-semitism isn't a factor in their vote, Arab-American support of Sanders is a fairly minor factor.
