Arab Americans in Michigan Are All in for Bernie

Mar 8, 2020

“Here is somebody that wants to enact an equitable platform across the board. Here's somebody that wants to correct the injustices and the systemic racism that had been built and baked into the system. He wants to shatter that system.”

Being Jewish is not a big vote getter among Islamic Americans.

most Arab Americans are anti-semites. That said, I think Biden will probably get the majority of their vote, despite Tlaib’s endorsement.

Arab-Americans make up 1.5% of the population, while just under 14% is black. So I don't think this will affect the outcome there.

Nationwide, 1% of Americans are of Arab descent, while 12% are black. Again, while it's nice that anti-semitism isn't a factor in their vote, Arab-American support of Sanders is a fairly minor factor.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
