Even if you're fortunate enough to get a House & Senate with a Dem majority. You can't get enough votes to pass most of what you propose. Take a BIG DEEP BREATH, apologize to your supporters, & tell them you're sorry but it just can't happen. Ask them to support our nominee and go back to the 0enate.

They said Social Security couldn’t pass. They said Medicare couldn’t pass. Always fight for your ideas and then work with Congress. Nothing big passes without effort. There is often some compromise in politics so I like starting big.

This is now... right now we don’t have that. Even if we did many Dems would not vote to increase debt several trillion dollars over 10 years.

Politics is not purity it’s compromise
