Seriously? Who are these "progressive" voters who wouldn't vote for Biden if his running mate was Harris?

What kind of person could call themselves "progressive" and NOT throw their full support behind Biden in an effort to defeat the GOP and remove Trump from office?

Are you telling me that these "progressive" voters are thinking to themselves: "Oh, I'd like to get rid of Trump, but Biden chose Harris... and I don't like Harris all that much... so I'm just going to sit-out this election."

Never said they won't vote for Biden because she's on the ticket but she doesn’t help attract them either.
Well, you suggested that "progressive" voters need someone OTHER than Harris to motive them to support Biden and to get Trump out of the White House. Why would that even be a concern among "progressive" voters? Why would the NEED the additional motivation of a "Vermont-style" or "Massachusetts-style" running mate?

But here's the thing... if a voter is actually "progressive" then they should be motivated and "attracted" enough to vote for Biden NO MATTER WHO he selected for his VP.

A complacent attitude willl only help Trump.
Actually, I'm all in favor of abandoning the "so-called-progressive" voters (ie: the Sarandonesque types) who won't vote for the Democrat. For all the time and effort and expense trying to "motivate" those so-called-progressives to vote for the Democrat, an equal amount of time and effort and expense could instead be devoted to getting ten times as many NEW voters and NEW people to join with the Democrats.

Those on the far-left who desire to blackmail the party when they threaten to withhold their votes only causes the Democratic party to inch more toward the center and even "right-center" to find replacement voters. The non-voting left are sabotaging their own interests and forcing the party to move in the opposite direction to that which they (presumably) want.

Allowing Trump to become President. So ignoring them has its risks.

As far as Franken, not making any commentary the case. But Harris was one of the first and very vocal advocate calling for his resignation. I have seen many on this forum, and elsewhere, state that they would never vote for Harris because of it.

We need a VP pick who will enhance the ticket. Someone who will attract progressive votes and help to flip a swing state. There are better choices than Harris to do that.

Apr 2020
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/3-warning-signs-for-trump-in-november-194019495.html

Biden is strong in swing states. Greenberg’s polling closely follows voters in 16 battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin. Trump won the battleground states by 1 percentage point against Hillary Clinton in 2016—giving him enough electoral votes to clinch the election. But Biden is ahead of Trump so far in 2020. “Biden’s winning by 4 to 5 points,” Greenberg says. “If Hillary won the popular vote by 2 nationally, that would translate to 7 for Biden.” And that’s enough for him to win.

Biden’s margin at the moment isn’t as large as the 9-point advantage Democrats had in the 2018 midterms. But that could reflect Sanders’ role in the race. Since Sanders stayed in until April 8, he could have detracted from Biden’s performance against Trump up till that point. With Sanders out, some voters have a simpler choice, which could benefit Biden. That’s not a given, but Sanders is more chummy with Biden now than he was with Clinton in 2016, which could swing more of the Sanders vote toward Biden.

Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan were in the bag. This election is too important to take chances. And there are better choices than Harris if we want to win.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I went from #AmyforAmerica to #ridinwithBiden When Sen. Klobuchar dropped out and I'm excited about it. Additionally I believe that Dr. Jill will be a FLOTUS of ultimate grace, charm and elegance and I can't wait to see her in that role!

I'm excited to see the VP pick.

As always, Donald Trump is an idiot and an ass hat.
