He has stated on many occasions he has a plan of running and will roll out policy platforms in short order after he has raised his name recognition. He is also a real policy wonk, and I have no doubt he will deliver on that end. I think he addressed this again on today's Morning Joe.

After hearing him speak several times, I love his intelligence, the way his mind works, and how he communicates. Also what he thinks about things.

But I think many Americans won't understand what he's saying. He speaks a level above your normal American, IMO. He's not an experienced politician, so doesn't simple-speak to make a point, catch an idea in the air, make something immediately clear. He's so educated and intelligent, I don't know that he CAN do that.

Obama, although highly intelligent and a Constitutional Law Professor to boot, was great at public speaking. He used everyday words and expressed things beautifully, but simply. Not that I'm looking for another Obama. That's not going to happen. But I have concerns about this communication issue.

I think one of the reasons Trump and Sanders have caught on with some people is that they speak simply and powerfully. Trump can't speak in a complicated way, because he doesn't have the vocabulary for it. I assume that Sanders could speak on a high level, but he's been in politics so long that he's learned how to drill things down to a simple expression, to get his point across quickly and so everyone will understand.

Pete would make a great potential Presidential candidate sometime in the future BUT not in 2020.

This country is just a few years removed from the fantastic display of ignorance, bigotry and greed that was the 2016 election. If PB is on the ticket, we lose .... plain and simple.

I found the passage in his book where he dismisses labour activists demonstrating for a living wage for Harvard University employees as "social justice warriors" while talking about how he had More Important Things to do like go to functions with Important People like governors particularly telling.

But he was in college at the time. This occurred before he decided to volunteer for the armed forces and rubbed elbows with a wide variety of people in Afghanistan. And he has clearly evolved in his thinking. At his Presidential Announcement Event -- which I attended -- he spoke about the rights of workers to fight for a living wage.

I believe this context is essential to understanding who Pete is today. Like most of us, he grew up and has developed more substantial perceptions.
