Eliz Warren response to #MuellerReport: House should initiate impeachment proceedings against POTUS"

I am starting to agree more and more.

The Mueller report lays out facts showing that a hostile foreign government attacked our 2016 election to help Donald Trump and Donald Trump welcomed that help. Once elected, Donald Trump obstructed the investigation into that attack.

To ignore a President’s repeated efforts to obstruct an investigation into his own disloyal behavior would inflict great and lasting damage on this country, and it would suggest that both the current and future Presidents would be free to abuse their power in similar ways.

The severity of this misconduct demands that elected officials in both parties set aside political considerations and do their constitutional duty. That means the House should initiate impeachment proceedings against the President of the United States

We made an error in my estimation by not holding the Bush torture regime accountable by refusing to start impeachment hearings then. By turning the page we normalized those actions and set us up to where it is just a little worse to look the other way now. Thank you Senator Warren for being in the fight for the people by advocating for hearings to begin.

I think we need to let our leadership know what we want!
It is the right thing to do - there is no downside.
Trump's impeachment in the House is what is needed. It puts the
pressure on the Senate Repugs to place their bets before the 2020 election.
We win regardless of their decision.
