CNN: Bernie Sanders is the new No. 1 in our 2020 Democrat rankings

Bernie Sanders is the new No. 1 in our 2020 Democrat rankings

https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/24/politics/2020-rankings-bernie-sanders-joe-biden-donald-trump-kamala-harris/index.html

Why? Well, lots of reasons. But here are a few:

That national organization built over the last four years and assiduously maintained by Sanders and his political allies is more robust than anything any other candidates in the race -- including Joe Biden, who officially announced on Thursday -- have at the moment.

Sanders is likely to raise the most money of anyone in the field. He brought in north of $18 million in the first three months of 2019, with 84% of those contributions coming in at under $200. That was the biggest total of any 2020 Democrat. And there's every reason to think he can keep it up; he raised $237 million for his 2016 race against Clinton.

His path to the nomination is the easiest to see, with Iowa's caucuses dominated by liberals and his geographic proximity to New Hampshire.

Sanders' liberalism -- once considered radical -- is now very much en vogue within the party. And he's been in that space for a very long time.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

1) Recent polls(I know they aren’t projections).

2) Biden has extensive connections and respect within the party. He already has an impressive list of endorsements.

That said, their reasons for putting Sanders at the top aren’t flawed.

The excitement, enthusiasm from a sincere and authentic message from the heart will always beat anger driven campaigns.

Biden is only angry at Trump and wants everyone else included. Some are angry at everyone - which has less of a chance of working.

People want hope for their future ... Biden gives it in bushels.

Wealth inequality, health care, living wage, climate change, free colleges, a representative gov for all. Is Book "Where Do We Go From Here" is a must read to see the positive directions we all want and how he plans to take us there. Passionate and dedicated he will make an excellent president. He did live town halls on the air weekly for years as a US senator and giving us transparency in gov. Few have done this. The man is tireless and well equipped to win the election.

30. Reserving Judgement
Fri Apr 26, 2019, 02:10 PM
Apr 2019

I find it a little odd that some people have chosen certain candidates and then switched to another already. I have some favorite candidates and some that I do not like too much, but I am reserving judgement until I see everyone debate and present themselves over time.

It seems to me to be way too early to choose a candidate. So I am sort of saying that Undecided is probably the best thing to be at this moment, not falling in and out of love with any one candidate. It is way too soon to make a selection.
