Let me be the first to say; I am a proud Latte Liberal

That is to say; yes, I’m a liberal and I drink lattes. This morning, I heard the expression, latte liberal, and it wasn’t on Fox News. It was the Morning Joe show. It was meant to insult those of us that don’t support Biden. I’m not really sure how it is insulting. I was sipping on my latte at the time I heard it.
But, let me make something absolutely clear! Name-calling is a non-starter. It insults the voters. If you want to dissuade people from supporting your candidate, call them names. You can do better, MSNBC. Leave the juvenile name calling to Trump and Fox News.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

support Biden but it was brought up during a Biden segment so maybe it was. It didn't make much sense in the context of the discussion.

but it kind of blew by me and I really didn't find it disparaging at all. We all hear things differently through our individual filters I guess.

like "soccer mom", "working class" etc.

It is not necessarily an insult. It is a term for middle and upper middle class white collar liberals in urban/suburban areas.

He was using the term to describe people who are smearing Biden for actions from 30 and 40 years ago while ignoring the real, progressive, good he has done in the ensuing years - things like VAWA, leading the charge against Rehnquist and Scalia. Said the same people are extolling another candidate's civil rights actions from 50 years ago and not answering the appropriate question of what has he done since.

It was a fair complaint to make.

I drink lattes all the time, absolutely love my mochas, and Joe's my guy. We had a coffee shop where I work and before I retired, I drank at least 1-3 per week. This is a totally stupid characterization of Dem voters. Don't know who they think the latte drinkers will back, but is makes no sense whatsoever to me.
