and I can garun-damn-tee you that no Presidential candidate will ever visit my town.

The only reason any candidate shows up to chat with the folks in a town of 287 people in Iowa is that it is the first state to express an opinion on the next President.

Why is it that a town of 287 people is so much more important than my town of 90K+?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I imagine if California were first in the nation to hold a primary it would get more attention to its' smaller towns as well.

Having said that Bernie's message to rural communities and small towns isn't exclusive to Malcom but is universal, whether it be Medicare for All, improved Internet service, free college tuition, the protection of family farmers, addressing climate change, etc. etc. etc.

As of the census[2] of 2010, there were 287 people, 132 households, and 86 families residing in the city. The population density was 470.5 inhabitants per square mile (181.7/km2). There were 143 housing units at an average density of 234.4 per square mile (90.5/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 98.6% White, 0.3% African American, 0.3% Native American, and 0.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.0% of the population.

It's right off the freeway.

I’m glad to see that Bernie is willing to go to small towns like Malcom to speak with people. We need to keep building the grassroots movement!
