We all know the logic, how monstrous his acts are, the things he’s done. But until I’ve watched Joe these past few days I had forgotten a tenet of my psych training. When a little child is truly traumatized they don’t cry. They shut down or rage or act out in ways that exclude seeking comfort from another human being. The hope of being seen and related to and loved evokes tears.

I’ve cried every time I’ve seen him. I’ve cried because I’ve missed that feeling of someone who might not respond perfectly to my every need but who actually cares and connects. It’s the first step. Now he can build on that with his policies. I feel SO much better now I don’t feel so utterly alone.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Glad show played a clip of him consoling Meghan McCain. I felt he dealt really well with the women and space issue.
Why do I cry when I see Biden?
He can ho,d my hand any day.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
