(11,990 posts)and polls so far indicate that we have women who can... though the candidates that beat Trump most decisively are usually Biden and Sanders. But I don't think gender is the main reason they are generally polling ahead of the women.

As with all of the male candidates, the only legitimate area for doubt is whether a specific candidate can beat him (or, better put, is more likely to beat him than the alternatives currently in the race).

(11,574 posts)A much larger concern should be Republican cheating & foreign adversaries hacking. Watching Russias success in 2016, I believe there will be more hostile foreign powers getting in the game for 2020. Handwringing over a woman candidate is a distraction and a waste of precious time.
