We need a president who will champion expanding the rights of people with disabilities. When we are in the White House, we will: protect and expand the Social Security Disability Insurance program, fully fund the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, and ratify the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. We as a nation have a moral responsibility to ensure that all Americans have access to the programs and the support needed to contribute to society, live with dignity, and achieve a high quality of life.
