Beto O'Rourke brings donuts, encouragement to striking GM workers in West Chester, Ohio

In an industrial park in the suburb of West Chester just north of Cincinnati on Tuesday, Democratic Presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke pulled up in a red SUV.

A campaign aide carried a box of Dunkin Donuts to give to the dozen striking General Motors workers that greeted him.

"How's everybody doing?" O'Rourke said as he shook the hand of United Auto Workers Local 647 president Janet Billingsley. The 92 union workers at the GM distribution center in West Chester, along with 46,000 GM workers nationwide, have been on strike for better benefits and pay for nine days..

"We are staying strong," Billingsley told O'Rourke.

O'Rourke planned four more stops in Ohio on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of a larger swing through the Midwest.
