Georgia Confederacy group sues state park over new exhibit - CNN

The Georgia Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans has sued Georgia's Stone Mountain Park over a proposed historical exhibition. The group argues that the "truth-telling" exhibition planned by the Stone Mountain Memorial Association violates state law requiring Stone Mountain to be preserved as a memorial to the Confederacy. The planned exhibit would explore Stone Mountain's connections to the Ku Klux Klan, the history of the Confederate memorial carving on the mountain and its origins in efforts to uphold segregation.

Martin O'Toole, spokesperson for the Georgia Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, joins CNN's Victor Blackwell on "First of All" to discuss.

only this time, at the point where the cities have the rural ignorant racists surrounded at Appomattox, when the racists start trying to shoot their way out from there and the Union troops just parted ranks to show the Confederates just HOW surrounded they were ( and how outnumbered they were )... this time we continue the fight to the last person standing.

And we never allow them or their progeny to build more memorials.

Just like we finally did in Nazi Germany. Or at least the Russians did.

Killing efficiencies today are probably higher than back during the Civil War period. And I'll add there was a lot more brutality on the back end of WWII (on the eastern front) than what most American's are familiar with. An awful lot of ethnic cleansing took place in eastern Europe after the final solution was fully implemented by the Nazis. People who had literally played together as children in the 1930s skinned each other alive and hacked each other to pieces as the Russian army pushed the armies of Germany back to Berlin.

I realize we currently live in a hyper-partisan world and the hate being stoked by our politicians is setting us all up for potential extreme violence towards each other. And truth be told, I'd have not better satisfaction than seeing some of these MAGA's get a fist to the face but there's a fine line we're all dancing along. Cross it and there may be no turning back. And in the end, war is a dying business.
