something to do with one his aides when he was a congress critter? He was eventually cleared if I remember correctly.
Just saying he knows a little about when things don't seem quite right.

Joe was away on business when his aide was found dead in his office. The story was that the aide fell and hit her head on the corner of a table. Joe was never prosecuted over it. It was rumored that he had her killed because they were having an affair, but there was never proof of such an affair.

IIRC, this was the big talk during the summer of 2001. Then 9/11 happened and it got lost down the memory hole.
