'All hell will break loose': Iran to target US bases in Middle East to avenge Khamenei's killing - Al Jazeera English

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and top security officials have been killed in the US and Israel’s ongoing attacks, along with the Ayatollah’s daughter, son-in-law and grandson.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) pledges revenge and says it has launched attacks on 27 bases hosting US troops in the Middle East, as well as Israeli military facilities in Tel Aviv. Explosions continue to be heard in Qatar and the UAE.

"All hell will break loose” after Khamenei’s killing, warning Iran will hit US bases in the Middle East to deter future attacks, Foad Izadi, a professor at Tehran University, told Al Jazeera. - 03/01/2026.

and a violation of international law.

But Iranian objections on the basis of the deaths of innocent schoolgirls sounds hypocritical after Iran's leaders murdered thousands of protesters.

Never would have reached this point if the bloviating fascist in the WH had not pulled out of the nuclear treaty established during Obama's term.

Rather hypocritical, too, for the bloviater to criticize human rights violations abroad while violating them against his own citizens.

The world has gone insane.

I wish that someone in the press corps would bring it up despite the fact that they'll be called nasty names. Every time you think it can't possibly get worse with the twice impeached felon in charge, he manages to find another despicable way. And you're also right, he's also completely hypocritical, he plunges ahead into another global mess, without consulting Congress which is unconstitutional, and causes another crisis in yet another part of the world.
